Refund and cancellation policy

Last updated: 28 July 2026

Scope

This policy applies to professional audit and assurance engagements for fintech clients — including licensing readiness audits, year-end financial statement audits, investor due diligence support, and controls reviews — contracted under a Granary Audit & Assurance engagement letter. It does not cover products, retail goods, or online checkout, which we do not offer.

Eligibility for refunds

Fees are charged for professional time and reserved fieldwork capacity. Refunds are considered when we cancel an engagement for reasons within our control, when a deposit was paid and no fieldwork has begun, or when a written variation reduces scope before the related work starts. Prefatory website enquiries without a signed letter are not charged and need no refund.

Timeframe

Refund requests should be emailed to hello@datasecurecloud.digital within fourteen days of the invoice or event giving rise to the request, unless the engagement letter sets a different window.

Full or partial refunds

If we cancel before fieldwork begins, prepaid fees are refunded in full. If you cancel after the engagement letter is signed but before fieldwork, we may retain a portion of the deposit reflecting scheduling costs — typically up to 40% of the first-stage invoice — and refund the remainder. After fieldwork begins, fees for work performed are non-refundable; unused future stages may be cancelled with a partial credit.

Non-refundable items

Time already spent on planning, data-room review, sampling, and draft reporting is non-refundable. Third-party confirmation fees advanced on your behalf are non-refundable once incurred. Fixed-fee stages marked complete in writing are non-refundable.

Refund process and timing

Approved refunds are processed to the original payment method within fourteen business days after written approval. You will receive confirmation of the amount and reference. Bank processing times may add several days depending on your institution.

Cancellation and rescheduling

Either party may propose rescheduling for documented reasons such as delayed ledgers or illness. We will offer new dates within a reasonable window. Repeated client-side postponements that collapse into a compressed filing deadline may require a fee variation rather than a refund.

Deposits and no-shows

Deposits secure partner and senior time on your calendar. If key client contacts are unavailable for agreed walkthroughs without notice, that day may be billed as used. A “no-show” for a scheduled on-site day without twenty-four hours’ notice may forfeit the related deposit portion.

Work already started

Once data-room review or fieldwork samples have commenced, cancellation ends further work but does not reverse fees for completed stages. Draft findings prepared before cancellation remain our working papers; a summarised extract may be provided at our discretion if invoices for that stage are settled.

Exceptions

If independence rules require us to resign, prepaid unused stages are refunded. If a force majeure event prevents delivery for more than thirty days, either party may cancel unused stages with a proportional refund. Statutory rights under Taiwan law that cannot be waived remain available.
