What belongs in a fintech board pack before auditors arrive

Auditors do not need every slide the board enjoys. They need a stable trail from strategy claims to ledger numbers.

A useful pre-engagement board pack for a Taiwan fintech usually includes four sections: product volume for the period, safeguarding position with reconciling items, open regulatory correspondence, and related-party balances. Keep charts, but attach the schedule that feeds them.

Avoid packing the deck with aspirational metrics that finance cannot tie to the general ledger. If customer growth is discussed, show how that growth lands in fee income or float. If a new corridor launched mid-quarter, say so plainly so sampling plans can adjust.

We ask clients to freeze the pack version that directors actually saw. Mid-fieldwork revisions of “the board numbers” create avoidable clearance meetings and stretch the timeline for an otherwise straightforward year-end audit.
